Biosphere Trail, Korpo. The UNESCO Archipelago Sea biosphere reserve path

The biosphere trail is a 1.8 km long path through varied nature; conifer forest, a small hazel grove, over rocks and along roads next to the school in Korpo and Verkan's marina.

Balance between man and nature is the consistent theme and the path explores what our Archipelago Sea UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is all about! The path goes over slippery rocks and requires the walker to be agile in varying terrain. At the harbour in Verkan, there is a shortcut to avoid a steep ascent at the starting point there.

In summer, Verkan has a small kiosk, café and restaurant as well as kayak rentals.
